Kids-in-Camp Fund existed to give children from less-advantaged families a chance to experience summer camp. But their site and brand presence didn’t reflect the urgency or humanity behind that mission. Motif stepped in to build them a website that presents them as a serious, trustworthy organization, not a fringe “charity side-project.” The redesign helped elevate Kids-in-Camp into an organization people feel comfortable trusting with their donations.
messaging Approach
We crafted copy that makes a compelling, emotionally honest case for supporting camp — not as a luxury, but as a formative childhood experience that every kid deserves. The site explains clearly how funds are used, how camp attendance works, and how donations directly affect real children, which builds transparency and trust. The argument is simple but powerful: sponsoring a child’s camp isn’t a splurge. It’s an opportunity to give dignity, community, and childhood to a kid who might otherwise miss out.
design & experience
To reflect the warmth, nostalgia, and joy of camp, we used real camp imagery, hand-drawn touches, and subtle animations that evoke the carefree magic of being at camp. At the same time, the interface stays clean and intuitive, making it easy to navigate — and easy to donate. Donation flows are streamlined: clear calls to action, clear impact messaging, and easy-to-use donation forms. The result is a site that feels hopeful and fun, but also organized and reliable.
